Day 5. Puppy is doing really well. He is gaining weight and growing nicely.

A really active little boy who likes to snuggle up to his mum all the time!

He does not mind being picked up as long as he has just had a nice big feed!

His nose is just beginning to change colour.

Day 8. Puppy is moving around a lot and rolls right over now. His ears are changing and the nose continues to gradually turn black.

He appears to be all white except for the head marking. I guess he is going to be a sable and white.

Day 12. Hello to Smartie. Smartie is growing nicely, has more than doubled his birth weight, and has become quite vocal, especially if his mum takes no notice of him!

Day 17. Smartie has decided he wants Pennys food! Time to think about weaning soon.

Day 18. What a mover! Shame he always wants to sleep when I take his photo. Penny is not happy when Smartie moves in on her food bowl. She does not realise he cannot get into the dish!

He has very nice markings, although I'm not sure what colour he will be as an adult. I hope he will be a sable and white.

What a little porker!

Smartie on the move! aged 5 weeks
6 weeks old and what a little character! Smartie has a very determined nature and does not give up easily! He is such a wriggler especially when having his claws trimmed. Time to start going out side now when the rain stops.(carried of course).

Smartie is having short play times with the other paps, one at a time. He is much smaller than Poppy at the same age.

Where did these ears come from?
6 weeks old and looking like a mini papillon now. Ears up and flitting around all the time!

Smartie can move so fast now. He dashes around the room and the others just want to join him! He went outside for a walk yesterday with me carrying him. Looking forward to some nice weather so we can get out in the garden.

Vaccination time at the end of January, how time flies.

21st Jan. Smartie had his first bath today. He did not enjoy it.

25th Jan. Smartie is changing into a beautiful butterfly. He loves rushing around and playing with his toys.

He enjoys playtimes with the other paps, especially with Penny, his mum!

We have started lead and table training - you are never too young to learn!

Smartie will be having his vaccinations on 31st January.

What a little fur ball!
Smartie aged 9 weeks
27th Feb. 2008. Smartie is such a gorgeous little puppy. He is very confident and really enjoys going out. Walking on the lead is getting better especially if there are lots of treats! He has a lovely temperament.

14th March 2008 - Smartie is out with the others part of the day. He has so much energy and is full of mischief!

He really enjoys playing with Poppy although Poppy doesn't always want to play.

Smartie is now 4 months old and really loves being out all the time with the other paps. He especially likes to play with Bryn.

What a cute little dog! Such a character and full of life. Always on the move. He enjoys his daily walk. Smartie is so inquisitive just like Henry as a puppy. Henrys' grandfather is also Smarties' father so I guess they have some genes in common.

Smartie has remained totally white except for his head markings. His face marks are symmetrical with a nice fine muzzle.

9th April - Somehow I dropped the lead while walking Smartie and he headed off down the road at full speed! Luckily I managed to run after him and get my foot on the lead. Phew! Our road is very quiet with little traffic but I will be keeping a tight hold on the lead from now.

Training is progressing well. Smartie is such a fun dog! He loves playing with all the others except Bentley, who just watches the games. A very pretty little dog and so full of beans!

His first show may be in early June if he is ready.
